Renovation obligation for residential buildings 2023
From 2023, a renovation obligation applies to residential buildings. What should a buyer know?
New owners of energy-guzzling residential buildings (that is, with EPC label E or F) are required to thoroughly renovate the home in energy terms within 5 years of the transfer (such as purchase, long lease and the like), to at least EPC label D.
